Meet Deanne

The late nights spent buried under mountains of marking and assessments. The constant pressure of emails, messages from parents and staff meetings buzzing in your ear. The feeling that no matter how hard you try, you don’t feel good enough at either teaching or being there for your family.

That was me.

Twenty-five years in teaching has taught me that the challenges within the teaching profession aren't going away anytime soon. That’s something that is completely out of our hands and will only change when the powers that be start listening.

However, I believe that we can change how we approach teaching to promote better wellbeing. Through the way we handle the constant pressure, the way we decide what we prioritise in our lives, and the choices we make.

And that’s how I can help you.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the tools to manage my own burnout. I had no choice but to leave the school I loved, the colleagues who felt like family, and the career I'd poured my heart into.

But I'm determined to equip others with the knowledge and strategies they need to thrive, not just survive, in this demanding profession.

The Teachers' Pocket Coach is a daily text service designed to support teachers' well-being and make their lives easier. We send you mindfulness prompts, self-care tips, and inspirational messages right to your phone, helping you reduce stress, improve focus, and create a more balanced life.

How does it work?

Simply sign up and provide your phone number. We'll start sending you one motivational text message every day, focusing on a different aspects of wellness, which you can apply during your school day.

How much does it cost?

When do I receive each text?

The daily texts will be sent every weekday, at a different time each day - morning, lunchtime, afternoon.

Will I receive texts at the weekend?

No. The daily texts will only be sent Monday to Friday.

What about during the school holidays?

You will still continue to receive our daily wellness texts during the school holidays, although the focus will change to prioritising your daily wellness during holiday time.

Is my phone number kept confidential?
